Good groundwork is invisible when it is done well. We excavate and reshape ground by machine or, where access is tight, by hand — we have hand-dug 30 tonnes of soil for a single patio extension and excavated almost 60 tonnes to turn a sloping garden into usable tiers.

We build retaining walls in block, rough stone, Cotswold and tumbled walling, railway sleeper terraces and steps, and we solve drainage problems with land drains, ACO channels and soakaways.

We also lay concrete bases for sheds, log cabins and garden offices. For tired old walls, Wallcrete — a lightweight render stamped with the pattern and colour of your choice — is a cost-effective way of making old walling look new without demolishing and rebuilding in expensive stone.
