Natural Stone Retaining Wall and Steps in Chilcompton

A sloping garden in Chilcompton needed a strong retaining wall to hold the upper level and create a usable parking area at the top.

We built the retaining wall in natural stone, laid to a traditional random pattern and finished with a flat coping. A flight of steps with large grey stone treads was built into the wall to link the garden with the upper level.

Above the wall, the area was levelled and gravelled for parking, edged with matching stone paving. The natural stone blends with the local character and will weather in beautifully.
