Tumbled Cobble Block Driveway with Tree Surround in Bath

This Bath driveway was old herringbone block paving that had sunk and weeded up, with a tarmac apron at the road.

We dug the whole lot out and laid new buff tumbled cobble blocks with a charcoal border. The paving curves around a bed for the existing fig tree, and a linear drain was set across the driveway to catch surface water.

A gravel bed with curved edging finishes the front garden. The tumbled blocks give a softer, traditional look that suits the house.
